DARA conducted an independent evaluation for UNICEF of the No Lost Generation (NLG) initiative’s contribution to improving access to learning opportunities and protective environments for children, adolescents and youth in response to the crisis in Syria. The initiative covers Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey. The purpose of this evaluation is to explore how, if, and to what extent NLG influenced different actors towards more and higher quality education services, child protection services, and youth and adolescent programming in humanitarian aid programs responding to the Syria crisis.
This evaluation process began in November 2018 and has involved field missions to Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The Dara team is currently in the reporting phase, which will include presenting conclusions and recommendations to be considered in NLG’s next phase of action.
