DARA is undertaking an evaluation of the pilot phase of the Consortium of British Humanitarian Agencies (CBHA).
The CBHA is a partnership initiative by 15 leading organisations which aims to strengthen the coordination and capacity of the NGO sector to deliver appropriate, high quality and quicker humanitarian assistance to populations affected by disaster.
This evaluation seeks to understand whether the consortium catalyses results and generates commensurate returns over its’ first two years through enhanced coordination in the following key areas: financing systems to improve timeliness and quality of responses, capacity building of national and international managers, consortium models to improve agency surge capacity, and use of innovation and technology in logistic supply management systems.
The evaluation will run until March and will draw the results and impacts achieved by the CBHA pilot stage, and provide recommendations for the future of the fund.
