Description of project

The overall objective of the regional training course is to reinforce capacities of UNICEF Asia Pacific Country Offices to approach monitoring and evaluation as a strategic function.

Type of services provided:

Prepared and presented key note on evaluation in the context of aid effectiveness and lectured modules on humanitarian aid and real time evaluations to staff members from 14 UNICEF country offices.

Specific objectives of the key note where to enable participants to situate the new trends on evaluation in the context of the Paris Declaration, the Accra agenda for Action and other International Agreements.

Specific objectives of the evaluation in humanitarian contexts were to enable participants to understand the concept, criteria and scope of evaluation in humanitarian settings. Provided basic concepts to plan and manage evaluations.

To enable participants to understand the relevance and use of real time evaluation.
