MINUSTAH’s Brazilian Battalion and the US Army distribute food, MRE’s and water to the population of Cite Soleil, a seaside slum in Port-au-Prince that was devastated by the earthquake on Tuesday, January 12th.

Men and women clean the rubble and the streets of the Carrefour Feuille area of Port-au-Prince, in a UNDP “Cash for Work” program. The United Nations has begun distributing $40 million dollars in “Cash for Work” program to Haitians, in an effort to defuse the uncertain security situation in the country and provide income to those suffering from the Earthquake that devastated Haiti on January 12th.
