DARA presented the Risk Reduction Index (RRI) at the Global Risk Forum held in Davos, August 26-30.

The presentation, part of a panel session on Disaster Risk Management, focused on how the RRI can enable decision-makers to take more informed decisions based on information generated from multi-stakeholder consultations across different sectors. The information concerns risk drivers and how these may contribute to the generation of risks at local level. If addressed adequately, managers will be better equipped to manage risks more effectively, hence contributing to more resilient communities.

The Risk Reduction Index is currently being implemented in West Africa.
