DARA & the Center for Global Development: Climate Vulnerability Indices and Adaptation Finance

DARA and the Center for Global Development (CGD) organized a roundtable discussion in Washington, DC on October 1st, 2012 to increase understanding of climate vulnerability indices and their use in allocating finance. Speakers outlined three vulnerability indices developed by DARA, CGD, and the World Bank together with the London School of Economics and discussed their use for allocating adaptation funds. Participants included government representatives from Bangladesh and Costa Rica, as well as academics and representatives of think tanks and civil society organizations working on climate change adaptation issues.
