DARA works in partnership with a number of organisations in order to build and strengthen links and to ensure that its input into humanitarian actions is broad-based and coordinated with the work of others in the field.
United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN ISDR)
UNISDR’s mandate is to serve as the focal point in the United Nations system for the coordination of disaster reduction and to ensure synergies among disaster reduction activities.
The Humanitarian Futures Programme (HFP)
HFP at King’s College London, is a catalyst promoting new ways of planning, collaborating and innovation so that those with humanitarian roles and responsibilities can meet the challenge of threats of greater dimensions and dynamics. HFP promotes five key characteristics which distinguish the mindset of effective humanitarian actors in the 21st Century — anticipatory, adaptive, innovative, collaborative, and with an enabling environment for strategic leadership.
African Leadership Centre (ALC)
Launched by King’s College London through the Conflict Security and Development Group (CSDG), the ALC will mentor the next generation of African leaders and facilitate their participation in national, regional and international efforts to achieve transformative change in Africa.
Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA), tcktcktck
GCCA is an alliance of more than 290 leading environmental, development and faith based NGO’s youth groups, trade unions and social movements calling for a fair, ambitious and binding climate change agreement and a low carbon future.

ALNAP – Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action
ALNAP was established in 1997, following the multi-agency evaluation of the Rwanda genocide. It is a collective response by the humanitarian sector, dedicated to improving humanitarian performance through increased learning and accountability. DARA is a full member of ALNAP.
The International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA)
ICVA is a global network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that advocates for effective humanitarian action. Founded in 1962, ICVA brings the experience and views of over 70 national and international NGOs, to international policy-making forums. ICVA also provides its members with up-to-date information and analyses on policy developments in humanitarian response and provides support in certain field situations.
The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR)
ECFR was launched in October 2007 to promote a more integrated European foreign policy in support of shared European interests and values. It is a pan-European think tank with headquarters in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Sofia and Warsaw.

CoM is an independent organisation dedicated to strengthening democracy around the world by drawing on the unique experiences and resources of its members – 66 democratic former heads of state and government.
The Toledo International Centre for Peace (CITpax)
CITpax is an independent, non-profit, Spanish foundation, which contributes to: the prevention and resolution of conflicts; the management of crises; and the consolidation of peace within a framework of respect and promotion of basic human rights and democratic values. In addition, CITpax aims to prevent or bring an end to violence, and recognises that the search for lasting peace involves the implementation of actions concerned with social change, development and the strengthening of institutions.
