Description of project

  • DARA was part of the evaluation team on the mid-term evaluation of WFP’s PRRO in Timor Leste. The evaluation had the purpose of informing WFP staff in Mozambique, the regional office and head-quarters about the progress of the PRRO and suggested changes to be integrated in the design of a new programme.
  • Main emphasis of the evaluation was on the relevance of the PRRO in the Timor Leste context of recovery from years of colonial rule and foreign occupation. DARA focused on the school feeding component of the PRRO and its relevance, design/modality, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability and impact.

Concrete recommendations were given as to how future programmes should be targeted, WFP’s potential role in future support to school feeding in Timor Leste as well as the pertinence of current operations with regards to national ownership, modality and future options for handing over programme to national authorities.
